Dank City Bay Area Privacy Policy
Draft updated October 15, 2026 — review items below must be resolved before this policy is published.

1. Scope
This policy describes personal information handled through Dank City Bay Area’s website and business communications. Dank City Bay Area does not currently offer its own mobile app. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy notices.
2. Information you provide
Our contact form asks for your first name, last name, email address, and message. We use that information to respond to your inquiry. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, government ID images, or medical documents in general contact messages.
The custom member signup form includes a required driver’s license image upload and an address field. That form uses Wix Forms. An uploaded ID can reveal information such as your photograph, name, date of birth, address, ID number, and signature. ID information is sensitive and is intended for identity and eligibility verification.
Review before publishing: confirm which signup fields are necessary, who can access uploaded IDs, whether the uploaded files require authenticated access, the deletion process, and the retention period. A form setting alone does not establish that an uploaded file is private.
3. Website and email service providers
The website is hosted on Wix and uses Wix Forms and Wix Members. Dank City Bay Area uses Google Workspace for orders@dcdbayarea.com and has a Klaviyo account for email communications. These services process information when their features are used. Member profiles are intended to remain private.
Review before publishing: document the information each enabled service receives, its purpose, access permissions, relevant provider terms, and any other analytics, advertising, payment, or delivery providers. Do not describe a service as connected or a data transfer as active until it has been verified.
4. Location information
An address entered into a form is different from precise GPS location. Precise-location collection is planned, but its implementation and storage have not yet been verified. This draft does not claim that GPS tracking is active.
Review before publishing: identify any location provider, the permission prompt, information collected, recipients, purpose, retention period, and how visitors can withdraw permission. Update this section to describe the actual configuration before enabling precise-location collection.
5. Cookies and tracking
Website services may use cookies or similar technologies. Browser settings can provide controls for cookies and site permissions.
Review before publishing: inventory the cookies and tracking tools actually enabled and verify the consent banner, preference controls, sale or sharing disclosures, and Global Privacy Control handling where applicable. Automatic opt-out handling has not yet been verified.
6. Retention and deletion
Review before publishing: adopt and implement a retention schedule for contact messages, member details, ID images, location data, transaction records, email records, and backups. State the retention period or the criteria used to determine it for each category. The schedule should account for the information’s purpose and applicable legal requirements.
This draft does not establish indefinite ID retention or claim that an automatic deletion process is already in place. Requirements for transaction records should be evaluated separately from any need to retain a full ID image.
7. Privacy requests
Contact orders@dcdbayarea.com or call 415.534.5838 with privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete personal information. You may also contact us about marketing preferences or applicable sale, sharing, and sensitive-information choices. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law.
Please provide enough information to identify the account or inquiry involved, but do not email an ID image, account password, or payment details. Review before publishing: assign responsibility for verifying and responding to requests, document applicable deadlines and exceptions, and test the request process.
8. Communications
Questions about business emails or communication preferences can be sent to orders@dcdbayarea.com. A delivered internal test email does not verify customer notifications or follow-up automations. This draft makes no claim that SMS or mobile-app push notifications are active.
Review before publishing: describe the email channels and preference controls that are actually enabled, including the distinction between service messages and optional marketing.
9. Security and eligibility
Please protect your login credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use of your information. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Specific safeguards for ID uploads, staff access, exports, logs, and backups must be verified before they are described as implemented.
The website is intended for adults eligible to use its services. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information. Review before publishing: confirm the actual age-verification process and handling of any medical-eligibility information.
10. Policy updates
Set the effective date when the final policy is approved for publication. Update the policy whenever collection, providers, purposes, retention, or privacy controls change.
